Delete your account
Grit accounts are created with Sign in with Apple or with Google. There are two ways to close one, and both delete the same things.
In the app
Profile tab → Settings → Delete account. You confirm twice, and the account is gone straight away. You do not need to email anyone.
By email, if you no longer have the app
Email team@getgrit.today from the address you signed in with, with the subject Delete my Grit account. You will get a reply within two working days, and the account is deleted within 30 days of the request.
Email from the same address you used to sign in. If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, send it from that relay address — it is the only thing that ties the request to an account.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, goals, body measurements and training preferences
- Every program the coach built, and every coaching review and explanation
- Your workout history: sessions, sets, weights, reps and personal records
- Your HYROX intake and race results
- Your diet log, saved foods, water and weight entries
- Your meal photographs
- Your conversation with the coach
- Any health summaries stored from Apple Health
- Your sign-in record itself, so the account no longer exists
This cannot be undone. Signing in again afterwards starts a new, empty account.
What is not immediate
Routine backups age out on a standard rotation rather than being edited, so a copy can persist there for a short period after the account is gone. We also keep whatever the law requires us to keep, which for an ordinary account is nothing.
Export first, if you want your data
Profile tab → Settings → Export my data gives you a file with everything held about you. Do that before deleting — afterwards there is nothing left to export.
